wired mint to the original horn, mounted the compressor to the original horn mount and wire tied the horns themselves up under the bumper

yeah... kinda made a custom bracket from an L shaped looking thing with holes in it. then i mounted that onto the bumper support. i painted them black too so you can't see it from the front... and i wired mine up to the stock horn. since there is a slight delay with the air horn i decided to keep them both active. so for about half a second you can still hear the stock horn, then the air horns take over. sounds kinda funny, but gets the point across... saved me from a couple accidents already.

I have a triple horn set waiting to be installed. Looks killer.

I found this on GeeSeR's old site (who else is old enough to remember the old Integra bible? hehe):

Even the sounds are still there!:
Triple air horn
Double air horn

Archive.org is awesome!

Yup, Geeser's site IS the Teg-bible and Jeff Taylor is my all motor guru!

I mounted the air horns and compressor in the pass. side fenderwell since I was running an AEM CAI and didn't need the resonator in that area. I used the single wire from the OE horn for power and grounded it to the chassis and it worked great! I used some L-brackets I had laying around the garage.

Good luck!

I've found the best prices on the Hella sets here. Great service, too.

I have the two-horn set (85105) but I have it on a separate pushbutton switch, in addition to the stock set.

lol

I went to that site and I think the Ferrari sound-a-like horns sounds just as gay if not more than the stock Integra horn.
That guy had it right, the Integra needs a louder, more commanding horn. But buddy that aint it!

i mainly got mine for safety.... wasn't originally what i thought it would sound like, but it does the job... function over form in this case...

edit: it is also nice to laugh at once in a while... my friends get kicks from hearing it... just beware... it can make you deaf if you stand close enough. i almost went deaf while installing them when two wires accidentally touched.

Agreed... Personally, I did it for safety reasons. People just don't hear stock horns. This one will get people's attention, especially the idiot soccer mom in the too big SUV that doesn't see you as she backs out of her space while talking on the cell!

Everyone has their reasons for doing things. Just because your opinion is different doesn't make it bad or wrong or stupid. What's stupid is keeping a closed mind to different things. We need to learn to respect people for their own style and personality whether we agree with it or not.

What's even more stupid is, I bet the two guys who were criticizing this, have never even heard one in person. So not only do they have a closed mind, but they haven't even heard what they have a closed mind about.

Preety soon ricers are goingn to be talking about the amount of psi they have in there air horn.
I agree with spollinvtec...what a stupid *** mod, we dont drive 18 wheelers or boats. My integra horn works just fine and gets ppls attention when im laying on it givin them the finger going 60mph on the freeway or backing out of my driveway

Do you need to take off front bumper to this or you could do it if you raise the car a little?

i was going this route b/c you all are right, the integra horns are less than adequate.

instead i opted for a set of prelude horns... louder, deeper, and i got them for free... that and they are smaller... def not as loud as those air horns but loud enough, imo

Funny.. At first I thought why would I need air horns, then I recalled last night some A&& almost running right into me and I press the horn and I could barely hear it over my radio... I think I am going to do this mod this weekend.. Great Post

I installed my Hella Supertone's in grills of the front bumper (one on each side) and used the stock wiring.

I also installed a pulsing relay that is rigged to my alarm. When my alarm is triggered, the horns kick off like a house on fire.
