Default does aftermarket taillights affect the tail light sensor?

I was wondering how does the blown tail light symbol in the dash knows when the tail light is blown? is it just a completion of the circuit that tells the light that it is not blown?
i was wondering if i installed aftermarket tail lights, will it affect the ability of this warning light to tell me when the tail light is blown?

Not really, those rice altezza stuff only replace the housing, cover and reflector part of the tail light, well, unless you got the ultra ghetto altezza tha require you to slice the wires.

I am guess the sensor monitor resistance as well.

well, in the 94-95 there are 3 bulbs. Brake, signal, and reverse. Obviously brake can be one red. And the other red can be a signal. and the white can be reverse. Or you can switch those last 2. Only thing that would affect the sensor, is if you brake and the bulb doesnt complete the circuit(dead).

i was wondering if there could be a way whereby both light up for break light, but they blink at the same time for signal, like how it is on some american cars ( i think some cadilac)

special wiring, special bulb, it would only work if u combined the signal and brake light wires so they are connected, but it would only work during the day cuz at nite the brake lights would be on always and it wouldnt flash for the signal
