what warrantys and other recalls have been made for the s2000? I know of a tranny "recall" sort of.....

the reason is there is a used one with 57,000 miles for $22,000 at a honda dealership where i live! i dont know much about the s2k's problem history!

any information is appreciated!

 

It depends on the year. And that price seems awful high, I payed 21k for my MY00 with only 18k miles. My car has the problem you speak off, its a chattering noise when you lift off the throttle. I believe its the clutch plate, someone correct me. There have also been grinding issues, MY04 models have CF syncros. And I do not think that the one at your dealer has any warrantee left, in fact, Im sure of it unless it has a Hondacare warrantee or something. I think you can find a better deal.

The chattering is the clutch disk, there have been 3 or 4 replacements issued, the most recent being PCX-055. I can't remember the first 5 digits, I'm not at work right now.

*EDIT* - If you buy the car make sure you get some sort of warranty, 30 days or whatever. If you notice the noise be sure to tell them after you buy it and they will be obligated to fix it.
