Default jimfab + moroso oil pan

I just finished installing a ton of front suspension parts. Wanted to give some pictures so anyone interested in clearence can see. The JimFab bar causes some problems with a B series and my pan, but it does fit.

I have fastbrakes 11" brake upgrade and Tien EG HA coilovers. I just put on new brembo OEM rotors, Axxiss Ultimate pads, tie rod ends, lower ball joints and Gator racing axles. I don't expect to have any vibration anymore!

Here you can see just how close the JimFab joint is to the Moroso oil pan. I had to cut a couple threads off the driver side hiem joint bolt to give the pan some clearence.

The only major problem is that the stock moroso turbo oil drain fitting is un-usable with the JimFab Going to have to weld a lug in another spot on the pan...

what if the bolts on the arms were switched around? would that have been an easier install for you?

Overall.. looks like you have a nice setup there.

Humm... Looking at your car is like seeing the future of mine. I've got the Teins on there already, Jimfab is coming soon (anyone have a good price?) and so is the 11" fastbrakes (brian, thank you, will be ordering after x-mas). I guess this answers my question about using a moroso oil pan. Just gunna weld the oil return line to the stock pan I guess.

That's not a drain location, it's an oil return.

Ya, why didn't you just flip the bolt around on the Jimfab? Can you take the pan off with the Jimfab installed anymore? I'm guessing no because of the studs used on the oil pan.

Yeah those are the stock joints that came on my bar. They must have upgraded to these greaseable joints..I was plesently suprised. As far as turning the bolt around, sure. I already had the crossmember installed without the radius rods attached. The bolt does not fit in the other direction once the crossmember is installed. It would work both ways and is tight (but usable) bothways. I just decided it was easier to cut 2 threads from the bolt then uninstall the crossmember and turn it around.

As far as a little more specs.. the engine is an 84.5mm B18C w/ HASport engine mounts.

Image of my older setup with the Place Racing front crossmember.

More recent shot:

The place racing gave tons of room...I'm pretty disappointed I'm going to have to modify the oil pan for a turbo drain.

Let's see a pic with that JDM front bumper on. Or are you using a body kit front dam? How much mods had to be done to fit it in there? That radiator looks crammed in there. Overall nice set-up though.

Hey, is there enough room to run a 90 right off the pan to move the line out of the way of the jimfab? Just a thought.

How much are the gator racing axles? What's your experience with them to date? Any benefit over OEM/autozone axles (keeping in mind cost)?

Also, the oil pan, is that a drag racing only unit?

I'm curious if there's a dry sump set-up for B-series...

I'm in the same boat. It's not going to work. Is it worth recreating that splash guard on the inside with the new return bung?

i dont have any vibration because of my jimfab bar. mayke sure its installed correctly and that nothing is loose. also be sure to get an allignment after installation.

and to whoever suggested switching the bolts around, how to you intende to get that bolt out (or in) without taking the radius rod off the LCA. i have my bar installed just like that, and i just used some washers to pull the bolt back and flush with the end of the nut. i have the stock pan. its close but it wont hit. the hasport mounts keep the engine from torquing enough to hit it.
