loss in top end power
curious what could cause a loss in top end speed? Lude use to jump to 140 pretty quick, I got my 2.5 exhaust with tanabe muffler, and gutted my cat,and got my vafc tuned. after It seemed like it is struggling to pass 130, could my gutted cat cause this?? Maybe causing the exhaust flow to be interupted when hitting the bigger chamber then craming back into the pipe?
thanks matt

When each exhaust pulse goes down an exhaust it sucks along the next pulse, by installing a larger exhaust and gutting your cat you lost this and so you made your car slower.

I see. But I thought that a slightly larger diameter exhaust piping would maybe make you lose bottomend power....but increase power in the top end.
Am I under the wrong impression??
