Who cares about NY, they are legal in Texas. Ive heard of like cops taking them away tho if you do get pulled over for speeding.

In my area, you really have to **** an officer off to get a tint ticket. Cops around here know nothing about cars, so I never get any "fix it" tickets. If they are leinient (sp?) then go for a darker tint, but if they are strict, don't even bother.

Cops will never know if you have a radar detector if you relocate your radar near the top left of your front window..... works all the time. Cops cant see it at the angle that they are at. Make sure you place the cord inside of the panel to make it look more covered up... w00t w00t.

I've had mine for years in Cali and when I get pulled they dont even say anything about it.....and cops do have a radar detector detector, its called VG2 and VERY rarely cops use in states where they are illegal....dont know about other states but in Cali you can paint your windows black just cant do ANY tint to front side windows or windshield (except for a sunstripe on the top the windshield)

Virginia & Washington DC are the only places in the United States where radar detectors are illegal.

and they do enforce it in VA, i got pulled over for loud exhaust and the trooper told me to put the radar away. didn't get any tickets either because I was out of state plates, lucky me.

ive been out of the whole radar detector scene for a few years. Which ones are worth considering for an xmas gift. i hear valentine is considered outdated these days. Some people say the new BEL is worth getting but i'd rather hear it from those who have them.

I only trust my Valentine 1. Their upgrading policy is awesome so that you can be always be updated with the latest radar detecting.
