AUS ITR 0-100 @ 7.1 sec ???
I just read Aus MOTOR magazine, recording to the mag... the 0-100km/h for AUS ITR is 7.1sec but why is every web site from UK, EURO, USA and JAP or Asia market state 6.2 - 6.8sec? I don't understand... also, US have 190hp, JAP have 200hp and AUS have 141kw = 195hp different figure... isn't the engine are build at japan therefore, it should be the same spec? thank you for answer...
Aussie and US Type R have the same horsepower rating. 195. 0-60 times should be in the mid 6's for both Aussie and US models. 7.1 is poor driver effort.
Guys remember 100kph is 62mph not 60mph. So if you figure without the extra 2mph then you probably have a mid to high 0-60mph run. And also depends on the driver and if the car is loaded with fuel and such and is broken in properly as well.

Actually the HP # set for Euro Type R's are set lower to get them into a certain insurance bracket. They actually make just slighty less then actual JDM ITR's. The only difference they have is they carry the 4-2-1 USDM header instead of the 4-1 JDM header. I've seen Ukspec ITR's completely stock running 171whp numbers.
Wheels and Motor mags both have poor drivers, but wheels is really bad!! They claim the type r does 0-100k's in 7.2 secs!! hahah what a joke. I've done a 6.8 with my mate in the passenger seat timing me with a stop watch.
I seriously think that wheels launch the car at 3000 rpm, so as to not "hurt" the clutch hahaha. either that ur journalists are really big haha
