Default What wire or bypass to watch video while driving?

just bought a iva-c801 with built in cd-player, gonna add a dvd player, but in the instructions, it's telling me i have to be completely stopped to watch video. is there a wire or some way to wire it up so that it doesn't show that warning line.

just opened the box, hella wires!!!
i'm gonna try it out and see. TIA

It probably just has to see that the ebrake is up, you should be able to bypass that, but I cant tell ya how without looking at it. Just use common sense when you hook it up.

you have to read the book, but the alpine needs pulses on two different wires, the brake wire and the parking brake wire. one needs ground pulses while the other gets +12, and there's a sequence you have to do.

And from what I remember from the CVA-1005, when you turn power off to the unit (accessory), I believe you have to do the sequence all over again. Your best bet is to hook those two wires up to two switchs so you can bypass it that way.

last time I did this i think I used a toggle switch for the ebrake wire, and a normally open push-button switch for the brake wire.
