Can you operate heat with just heater / air mix cable?

I've got a CRX with no climate control. No A/C, don't need any. My question is- Can I operate the heat with just the heater valve and air mix cables?

just go to your local junk yard, pick and pull whatever u wanna call it and pick one up for like 5-10 bucks much easier that way

I guess you COULD but, Why?
No blower control, no defrost control, no fresh/recirculate control.You would have to be driving fast enough to push the warm air throught the car itself LOL
