I noticed that too...I was like WTF???

Dude....you should have no problem finding a d16a6...they are everywhere.....just get a blown one and fix it....at least you'll have a motor you can be confident about....and a rebuild on a motor you'll pay penuts will be just about as much as buying one that runs

depends on what needs to be done, who does it etc

If you do it yourself, you can do the rings, gaskets and most of the bearings for something like 200$ in parts.

were is a good place to look for a motor i call junk yards they want 500$ for an a6 is that a good price

Yeah, I got a 97 y8 motor for 300 so you should not pay more than that for an a6...unless it has like 50,000 miles on it...
