I want to do a log too.

Damn, from the looks of that it seems as if ur replacing every single gasket, maybe u could reuse some, like leaving the IM and the head on eachother, so u dont have to use new gaskets etc.

Yeah, I caught an edge when I installed the #4 piston and I think the oil ring(s) got turned and she's smoking. Hopefully the walls aren't scared.

Dom: I came [-] close to getting a dart block, but I ran into some rediculas financial expenses. I was lucky to even be able to throw in the PCT slugs.

I bought the ARP stuff from http://www.lightningmotorsports.com Talk to Josh. They were $113 overnighted HT user LEN is my OEM Acura parts suplier. I buy all of my OEM parts from him.

I'm basically just trying to fix the faulty cylinder/piston and maybe get a VAFC or some fuel tuning going. Right now it's not running on **** worth tuning. NOTHING. lol

I'll have some new pics tomorrow when I actually start to work on the car. I partied tonight. lol

Here are some shots from today. Sorry about the shakey pic, but man it's hard to take a straight pic right after working on your car. lol

hmmm wonder which cylinder had the bad rings

must be #4

Look at the #4 spark plug compared to the others..... YUCK!!!

ARP Goodness that was overnighted... yes this **** is expensive.... no I will never overnight **** from Cali again. lol

This ARP ring compressor is ******* AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I slid one of my old pistons in there and I thought I had an orgasam... j/k but it's so much better than that POS craftsman one I used. ARP. for the price. lol

Ok ok ok, before yall flame me. I got a lot done today. I'm ready to pull the head and drop the piston out. But my back is killin me. I fat and out of shape. So i've been stopping about every hour or so to just sit around and clean up.

More coming soon.

Here's the b33f

Finally pulled the head

Exhaust ports are filled with black carbon

Cleaned up exhaust ports (will have some better pics tomorrow camera died)

The block, PCT equiped noticed #4 piston is covered in oil. All the others seem to be fine.

Close up of the #4 piston

Slugs 3-1 lookin ok.

I ******* broke the oil pressure sending unit when I was taking the head off. So that's going to set me back a few days.

EDIT: Actually it was the knock sensor sorry i'm a dumbass

Just asking but what is the best way to take off the head without breaking the oil-sending unit??

I'm planning to replace my seal's in a month or so.

You don't need to remove the oil pressure sending unit to separate the head from the lower block.

If you wanna remove it, it's like a 1 1/16" deep socket or something like that. I don't remember.

The oil sending unit is a 15/16 deep socket

That ring compressor looks really nice compared to the one I have. I might have to get one myself

ok, I'm an idiot. That thing I broke was the knock sensor.

I got one coming from a fellow HT user thank god.

Now here's a pic of the messed up piston ring. It's pretty foul and thank god that there isn't any cylinder wall scaring. I'm just going to break the glaze of it and pop the piston back in.

You'll prolly have to look closely to see it. But look at the bottom oil ring and follow it up towards the center. You'll see it then.
