What kind of hp gain do you think I get from my...
ctr intake cam, jdm 4-1 header, and aem cai? I thinking around 215 at the crank? Mid 170's at the wheels?
sounds about right...you may want to open up the airflow more w/ a hi flow cat and remove the restrictions from the OEM exhaust...that'll definitely help out too
brent what year type r, just wondering because the 2000, 2001 itr's have the exact same intake cam as the ctr, 97, 98 hower do not, and i would think you should be low to mid 170's, also bump your timing up to 19 deg, you wil get about 2-3hp there(free)
Its a 00' I was told the ctr intake cam has a longer duration (vtec lobe)? I have seen a lot of itr out here with the ctr intake cam but not the exhaust cam because it is the same.
The 00, 01 usdm type R has the CTR intake cam, which has 3 deg more duration, than the 98 spec, they did this to keep the power the same, because the had tougher emisions, so any one with a 00, or 01, that bought a ctr intake cam, gained nothing, and there pockets got a little lighter
Hmmm..interesting.And might I ask where you got this info?I spoke to a guy at the Motorolla cup that has done quite a bit of work on type R's(I am sure you all can guess who he is)and he had something totally different to say.

Talk to Mike K at Naples acura, he has had all 3, miced them, the CTR had 3 degrees more duration over the 97-98 spec intake cam, 1 degree more than the 00-01. spec cam.
