Default GSR into LS... What do I need?

I want to put a b18c1 into my LS. What is a good place to get a motor? I heard Hmotors is good. Also what do I need to get? Just the engine, tranny, and ecu or do I need to get a complete changeover?

yes get the tranny as well, if you throw your LS tranny on the gsr motor your just wasting your money. if you really wanna make it nice, get a type r ttranny, if not then a b16 tranny, if not then just get the gsr tranny.

I know I'm gonna need the tranny. But on hmotorsonline there are two b18c1's, one is engine tranny ecu and the other is complete changeover which includes
- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shift Linkage
- Stock Motor Mounts

I don't need those 3 things if I'm putting it into a dc2 right? I want to get the ITR motor but it's over 1000 more at hmotors. Anyone know where to get a good clean motor with everything I need to go into an LS for a decent price? If possible ITR motor for about 3500?

Its mostly about swapping into civics, but you can get the idea of what needs to happen.

Get the engine/tranny/ecu one

You don't even need diff mounts if you want to put it into a DA or DB, let alone a DC

And i'd say if you can save up the extra grand, do it

Your not going to find a B18C5 (ITR) motor anywhere for 3500; unless something is wrong with it.

Just save the extra grand and mod the B18C1 when you get it.

You can sell the shift linkage and motor mounts to a Civic persons who needs them. I'd keep the extra set of axles. They break every once in a while and it's nice not having to wait for a new set.

Thanks for the feedback guys. So is hmotorsonline the only good place to get what I need? Anyone know of other reputable places to get good clean engines?

Is your LS an automatic? That would make things slightly more difficult (AKA your upper tranny mount)

Everything else is exactly the same if your LS is a 5-speed. I think you mentioned it before, but you won't need the linkages, axles, intermediate shaft, etc.

yeah it's a five speed. So basically the two motors will be practically LS out, B18C in. Simple as that?

What about it? LS and everything LS out, GSR and everything GSR in (including ECU and harness).

No! It is four wires! The VTEC activation is four wires that cost me 80 to get put in. The swap is time consuming. Read this thread (the whole thread) on Team-Integra and good luck.
