Default sohc zc head on a6 block.

I saw a fourm the on day on this. I'm running a sohczc head on a a6 block, but not on purpose. I just had both engines and the zc block was gonew and the same for the a6 head. But my question is i heard had, had comb makes high compression. Is it too high for a turbo , and does it really make more power. I'm still running the dx tranny b/c i did the mini-me swap and the s1 tranny had over 270k in it. I have a si tranny on order. If the engine does make more power could i tell with that shitty *** tranny.

No exact same head as A6 tired of all the BS going around saying it has higher C/R. Should be fine for F.I., but I'd mill the head and block and use the Z6/Y8 head gasket to be on the safe side. It'll raise C/R slightly, but still should be fine for F.I.

you can run boost on high compression, just not as much of it... If you wanted to boost it more you could always get some low comp, pistons... but then you would need some block work done...

So do you have proof that they are the same head?? Not being a dick but I have yet to see any kind of evidence that they are infact the same.

im not sure what evidence you'd want, but, ive torn apart my a6 head and my sohc zc head, they apear to be the same.same size valves, same shape combustion chamber and intake/exhaust runners.however i didnt measure the combustion chamber, and that would be the true way to tell if they were the same.....just my .02cents

What about checking casting numbers or P/N markings?
There has got to be a definitive way to tell if they are the same or not.
Just my .02 cents.

Well Like Superhatch and I both posted in the other SOHC ZC thread we are going to be completely ripping apart his ZC head to get all of the measurements and I mean all of them......
