JSRC blows. If you want S/C, get the new Vortech kit. Or go GReddy turbo kit.

The GReddy is the best for your $. My buddy run's 12's on a stock 2k GSR, with exhaust.

I wouldn't say the Greddy is the best for your $ if you consider Ben's groupbuy for the Drag 3 turbo kit:

DRAG Turbo Kit: $3199.95
Autometer Boost Gauge: FREE
Autometer A/F Ratio Gauge: FREE
Greddy Turbo Timer: FREE
TurboXS Manual Boost Controller: FREE
Missing Link: FREE
NGK 7 Series Plugs: FREE
Tial 35mm Wastegate Upgrade: FREE
Total: $3199.95
Shipping: Will Depend On Your Location

The Greddy kit doesn't even compare. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=62916

build you motor and a 150 shot of nos if you build your motor right then this would be the best thing to do
do not trust drag there parts are known to crack but if you are going turbo hks makes the strongest manifold by far maybe think custom turbo

Drag manifolds have cracked, in much the same way that many other cast manifolds have cracked.

ben@importparts will replace any DRAG manifold if it ever cracks, or so he has pledged.

Which parts of the drag kit are known to crack? Pretty much the whole kit is outsourced from what I've seen...garrett turbo...hks blowoff valve...spearco intercooler...these are all reputable components.

Thats what Ben told me too. Therefore, I'm not worried about a thing.

I think a jrsc would be a good source for what you really need. I personally want one, but just have no $$. If done right I think it can reach your times. It could easily do those times with slicks but if your asking that for street tires you'll probably need 8psi pulleys. I believe the s/c is the most reliable and its the one with the least amount of matainance. I don't know much about turbos but those seem pretty complicated. Look at all those free stuff that comes with it. I'm not sure but the jrsc kit should be all you need for just that. Now if you want to upgrade or be more careful like about detonation then more stuff in needed.

**I'm no expert about turbos or s/c so please don't get angry if any of my info is wrong.**

from hearing ppl with the jrsc its a really tricky item to work with... alot of ppl think u can slap on a jrsc and rip right out of their once installed they dont think it needs to be tuned on a dyno... i would go with that drag kit thats going on at importparts all that free shiat you just cant pass up... i'm currently debating wether or not to buy it too damn school is holding me back argh

I assume you havent driven a JRSC'd car or Vortech?

JRSC will be perfect for you man...youre looking for the same **** I was looking for. The thing you have to remember is unlike what I thought and what youre thinking now, boost IS addictive, and if in the future I want to turn it up and really kickass, its gonna be expensive as ****. Which is why you see so many people going from the JRSC to turbo. Its not because they didnt enjoy the SC, its just that the addiction got to em and they want more. Which is understandable, and Ive only been boosted less than a month!

If you can afford it, I say pick up a Greddy kit. Everything is bolt-on, so its a nice project. Youre looking to spend maybe $4k though homie, so it aint cheap. If hes not looking for big boost, I dont see a reason to pickup the Drag kit. Smaller turbo, bolton kit....perfect to be fast and as streetable as possible.

Whatever you do, I wouldnt get the Vortech kit. Unless theres been some changes from the Si, for the price youre way better off going turbo.

For $5k:::: Turbo + Stand Alone (Hondata).

That will be insanely fast and reliable (if tuned correctly) .

Could hit 12's easy on stock internals.

drag manifolds crack all the time if you want to keep cracking it then that is fine but i have some friends that own a shop and deal with pro cars all the time and they say hks is by far the best

Haven't you been reading? Who cares if it cracks, it will be replaced for free by Ben. There are lots of people here including myself who have first hand experience with Drag kits (from Ben) on their car and NO problems. I have yet to even see an HKS kit on an integra, just miscellaneous HKS parts.

Nobody want to pull the manifold out of there car every month either. I'm not commenting directly about the Drag manifold, but I would never put a breakage prone piece in my car, even if it was free to be fixed.

I mean a Hyundai will be fixed if you break it, but I sure as hell don't want it.

The problem has supposedly been addressed, which is why Ben has agreed to the replacement clause, Im sure.

Exactly. I think there were problems with the earlier manifolds. DRAG III apparently doesn't have this issue. BTW IMO if you go into the motor w/ turbo it will cost you more than 5K installed and tuned properly. Assuming also that you go w/ standalone.

Remember the old saying "Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"

I've talked to a local shop. He's going to try to arrange it so i can meet some people he's done installs for. He's gonna try to round up a jrsc'd gsr, and a mildly boosted turbo gsr. That way i can at least ride in them to get a feel for it...

Hopefully this will happen sometime this week.

Thanks for the help everybody..
thats tight, u have a hella cool shop where u live.. my vote is for Drag3, its such a good deal and u can get everything u need from ben for under 4k.. plus a drag3GSR @.5bar will be much faster then a JRSC GSR even @8psi..

another thing, JRSC makes your car faster, but its missing something.. and that something is what u get with the turbo.. My friend has a JRSC GSR making 230whp and i have another friend with a RH GSR making 275whp.. I have ridden in both cars and they are both fun fast cars but when it comes down to a vette pulling up next to u and the owner sticking his nose up in the air at u, which would u rather have turbo or SC? ask yourself, do u want to give the guy in the vette the ol' shoulder shrug after u beat him or do u want to see his tail lights from very close behind..
