anyone know if the 92 gsr came with an option for an lsd or not?

The 92-93 YS1 GSR cable tranny didn't come with an optional LSD. The only cable tranny's that did were select JDM ones.

There's lots of aftermarket ones if your interested. You could get one from Honda, but itll probably run more than the aftermarket ones, unless that is if you know someone in the parts dept.

yeah your best bet to get a LSD would be from the aftermarket side.

You can use an ITR/CTR LSD in the 92-93 cable transmissions too.

if you wanted to do this you would have to shave the casing just to make the lsd fit right

Yes you would. And you would also have to use a 94+ gsr ring gear and re-shim the diff too.

if you'd like to use a LSD that fits right in without any modifications you can use an LSD from a JDM 92-95 hydro B16A tranny [good luck finding one tho!]. 92-95 hydro B16A + 92-93 B17A cable tranny's share the same internals [gearing + diff].
