I don't think pioneers have a remote antenna wire. So basically, if your headunit is onm the antenna will be up. I had the same problem with my pioneer. But I have an Alpine now so when I have in a CD the antenna is down, but if I put on the radio, it goes up.

its because the radio shuts off when you eject a cd therefore droping power to the remote lead, try this before you eject the cd push the source button and switch it to radio then eject cd (the antenna should stay up) if it does everything is working as it should.

That is not how it "should" work. The antenna should be up when the radio is on, and it should be down when a CD is being played. There is no point in having your antenna up when you are listening to a CD.

if he hooked the antenna to the remote lead then it will be up anytime the radio is on and the radio shuts off power when the cd is ejected,i quess what i should have said is make sure the antenna is hooked up to the ANT. lead on the back of the radio, not all radios have a seperate antenna lead but the 8200 should have one
