hay guy's will the oil pan from the Z6 block fit the D16A6 block? THANX FOR ALL THE HELLP!

 

I am almost positive it will work, ive used an oil pan from a Si on a dohc zc, so im pretty sure all d-series are the same, good luck.

 

yup, exact same oil pan as the block is basically the same

 

FYI - A6 might fit on the Z6 (not sure), but the Y8 is on it's own and won't fit any other D blocks.

ive heard about the a6 been compatible with the z6 .... BUT .. ive tried the a6 on the z6 and didn't work ... the oil pick up was hitting the pan ... but the z6 might fit the a6 ..

 

The reason he's asking is because I have a Z6 engine that used to be turbo'd and he has a A6 engine, I told him he could have the oil pan off my Z6(it's tapped for the oil return) if his A6 oil pan would fit my '95 ex civic. So the main question is will one fit the other and vise-versa(A6->Z6 and Z6->A6)?

 

d16a6 pan is not the same as the DOHC zc, try to use a d16a6 pan on a ZC DOHC with the OEM ZC header you will cry
