Hey guys, I've found a few companies that make detatchable steering wheels but didn't find anything for the CRX. Anybody know of a brand? I really need one.

Thanks,!

get a quick release hub from sparco or momo and any aftermarket steering wheel. They have them for sure.

Thanks guys I don't want to spend a whole lot for a steering wheel though. I had a Grant that I was really happy with. If I buy the Grant quick release hub, does that attatch to the CRX hub, or does it completely replace it?

Don't waste your money...buy my momo wheel and hub and I'll give you a company that sells the quick release for cheap and made for momo.

Do those quick release hubs for Momo act as a quick release AND hub, or do I have to buy a quick release system AND a hub? Any more links for purchase would be appreciated.

The latter. You you need to have the Momo/Sparco hub for your car in addition to the Q/R adapter. The Q/R adapter has two parts. One part bolts to the Momo/Sparco wheel, the other bolts to the Momo/Sparco hub.

Here's one brand:

Here's a link to the installation .pdf of the Smart Racing brand, it has a nice visual to explain what all you need and how it fits together:

Note: In the picture, the parts #'s 2576.03 and 2576.02 are usually preassebled as one.

Well personally I have the Smart Racing one which I picked up from them directly (they are local to me). At the time (a few years ago) no one else was making one that you didn't have to weld to your steering shaft. They are primarily a Porsche parts place and those guys usually make first-rate parts. I figured this would have a minimal amount of play (which it does, some have more) and not fall apart at an undesireable time (it hasn't). It runs about the same $219 everyplace that carries it (Truechoice.com is one place, Smart Racing sells direct also). They must have some sort of price protection with their distributors.

Since then there are the a couple out there that are almost half as much. I've seen them as low as $99, but I don't trust their quality or free play. A friend who also uses the Smart Racing one noticed that the LTB one looks just like the Smart Racing one (specifically the $139.00 model, LTBQUICKSPL). Either they copied it or found the source who manufactures it. So that might be the best price alternative. I think the owner posts on H-T everyonce in a while, I believe he road-races Hondas. From the guys in the RR/AX Forum who have done business with them, LTB has a good rep.
