Default question on k20 block

here's the question. will the head of a rsx type s and all other parts bolt onto a k20 block out of a civic si.

if anyone is wondering a friend of mine went turbo on his rsx know he has a rod hanging out of his block and we can't come across a good deal on a rsx type s short block or long block but have found a good deal on a k20 out of a si. please let me know any info you might have.

thanks for the help.

Yes, the type-s head will fit on the civic si block. It will also fit on a k24 motor out of an Accord, Element or CRV. I hear that you can get one for less than $1000 on http://www.car-part.com

I remember there being a thing about this.. so you should really look for it if it's serious. by the time I have the money and what not for this, there will be a plethora of info so I'm not too worried.

K20a2 does not have balance shafts like the K20A3 does.

The Civic Si Block can use a type S head. I rememeber a while back ( I cant remember the company) but they used a si block and added a type S head and turboed it.

So the Si block will work with the type S head. But if you are building a motor I would suggest getting a k24 block with a type S head then turbo it. Good luck.
