Damn... I'm sorry to hear this.

But WTF? The Body Shop wasn't keeping your car inside while they were fixing it up? That is their responsibility, I think.

Hope it turns up.... and hopefully the body shop claims responsibility for not properly protecting vehicles while under their watch.

I hope he did but if the body shop had the car therefor has responsibility for it- and should replace or pay for it.

1. No, you don't have coverage?

or....

2. no, the body shop didn't have anything to do with the disappearance?

If #1.... that's not good.

My insurance settled with me and thats resolved, but they are going after the shops insurance company and that is what is still in court. If my insurance company wins, I will see a nice chunk of change as well for salvage fees, towing costs, etc. So we shall see.

When my car goes in the body shop, the ecu is going to be with me, the shift ****, taking my passenger seat out. That's to make sure nobody joy rides the car or steals it. They are going to have to push my car to move it.

no more fast parts for me, its fast enough. it will help nicely though with the debt I racked up with the go fast parts lol

IvTecR, make sure you have any receipts and documentation for parts as it should help with the value of the car (depending on your insurance co).

good luck man

Definitely a good idea. Id even go so far as to take out some/most of the interior since its not that hard. all they need is a driver seat, but if you are taking the ECU, take the driver seat as well since they cant drive it.

Ha, so paying for go fast parts, I was close.

Anyhoo.... IvTecR, good luck and let us know what happens.

Chris - glad to hear the body shop is taking responsibility.

what's the name of the body shop? that sucks...

when i went to a body shop in SF, those bastards stole my spare tire, jack, truck liner, and rear hatch deck. i had to go and complain, and they swore my car didn't come with them, but after 5 minutes of looking around, i saw everything laying against the wall asses... it was SUNNY AUTO BODY on 450 Potrero Ave
