Depending on what your deductable and insurance record is I would still consider not making a claim. You will probably end up paying more $ in the long run for something that is just cosmetic and does not effect the functionality of the car.

Dam, you guys are rough.I would have him pay for it, he shouldnt have a problem with it ..Thats the one rule in our house. Dont mess with someones car. Beat the crap out of eachother, yes, but no car hatin. Even in general , I dont see how messing with someones car has anything to do with your beef with the person. If you have a problem go to the source , not a poor defenseless Honda. Now if they did it to you first, disregard the preceding and put balogna in his heating vents or something
This is what happens if someone puts a dent in my car
Someone leaned against my car at a party. You cant see the dent he made with his fat *** , but you can see what his head did after he said it was my fault my " peice of **** car had crappy fenders" ...... I had to pull the fender out to get home cause it was rubbing on the tire... Sorry for jacking the thread, I just dont like when people damage cars not belonging to them

You can probably get a used door inexpensively, just make him buy it for you. It shouldn't be that hard to find one in the right color, and if you can't then make him pay to have it painted.

That's not the point. It will count as a claim obviously. That means, your rates will go up. And trust me, they'll go up much higher than the cost of this repair.
-Dave, who's insurance went up over 2k/year for 1,500 in damage.
