just wanted to gather some info.. ive been having trouble with my starter and wanted to see if it could have something to do with my remote start

 

ive been installing remote start systems for years.. i know that a couple of years ago they did infact hurt the starter sometimes, they have improved the way they work nowadays.. some of the old ones worked on voltage sense instead of tach sense.. you might want to see what kind of remote starter you have and make sure its using a tach wire to start the car..

do you only have problems w/ the starter while remote starting the car? or is it all the times? remote starts now basically HOT wire the car to remote start, it uses relays do the same thing as turning the key in the ignition only its doing it without the key.. ive had a remote starter on my car now and previous cars and never had a problem..

 

Wheres the vote for "Your poll gives me a headache" anyways... I think remote starts are tight, especially on cold mornings.
