Default Stroker Motor - Some build up pics

Cylinder wall clearance/stroke distance pics..... first the B18B block w/ITR pistons

Stroker motor w/B18B block

The bottom 2 pics are to show the stroke of the motor, with the pistons going much lower in the stroker motor than the B18B block w/ITR pistons (for a LS/VTEC setup). Well, not to give too much away, it's approximately 13.4:1 comp with a B16A head, OS bore & o-ringed, using a "factory" parts, including rods & crank. Now, that doesn't mean that it's Honda parts, but they are JDM stock factory motor parts all used on this block . Only thing aftermarket are the custom-made-for-our-setup pistons & rings, but rest are factory parts used, even stock Honda bearings. I'll tell you what rods & crank were used, but one is not USDM and the other is not even from a Honda . You're probably asking "will this run?" Yes, as it already was running just fine in our CRX, but it had low 10.0:1 comp pistons in it at the time and we're doing a couple of new things to it as well as the high comp pistons. Even with the 10:1 setup, it had lots of torque.... and that was with a Y1 LSD tranny. We were going to run the Y21 tranny on this but will probably just use a GSR tranny instead. The new stroke is 93mm so it's approx 2.0L with a 81.25mm bore size. And this will be run on PUMP gas. Very possible and actually not that difficult with some custom fuel maps that we've already made up for another customer's motor with similar compression (on Hondata), so this should make for a good motor once it's all broken in.

We'll be putting a stock B16A2 head on it for now, and possibly some ITR cams if I can find a set, but once it's broken in, we'll see how it does (it'll be in a caged EG hatchback) lined up against the gutted EK hatchback w/H22A motor . Just a few pics to show you another project that we're working on.

very clean....those pistons look wild!

I have a 2.2L B16 in the works, should be getting the block machined sometime soon

i bet that r/r is way out meaning high 1.3's lo 4's.

i built a ls vtec stroker 4-5 yrs ago with oem parts, they are as follows

90 prelude crank, rod journals to a b16,then had the crank heat treated.oh by the way 95 mm stroke

rods were stock b16 with b16 jdm pistons comp. was 13.8 stock 81 mm bore.

gsr head with stock valve train.keep in mine it also had stock integra exhaust and header
oh yeah and it had type-r cams with aem cam gears.hp racing pro intake manifold and stock ignition.c-16

we don't have 1/4 miles here,but it ran 7.62 w/1.6 60 ft.yes it was a tq monster from hell,it would bark 4 th gear at 85 mph.

the only thing i did not like about it and i mean the only thing was the r/r 1.41.it will wear out one side of the cylinder wall quicker than the other one,and i do mean fast.but it was fun while it lasted.

Yeah, this motor is 1.43 r/r with the setup. It was already running about 2.5 year ago but with other projects, it just gets put off. Now we're putting some higher comp pistons into it (ran great last time, just want more out of it ), so we'll see how this feels. After that, we may try something similar to a spare H22 motor that we have.

But you're right.... loads of torque is always coo!

Heh, nice. Don't think the r/r will like boost of a turbo, similar with a H22 not liking boost with its r/r. But it'll sure be one helluva fun car to daily drive around in, especially when only using pump gas at almost 13.5:1 comp .

it will do o.k. as long as you don't stay at high rpm for a given amount of time.like go there and let off,i think you get what i'm saying.but what will be interesting to see is the monster on pump gas, keep me posted.guess what happens when you up the r/r,then your motor will love the high revs.

i am putting my set up together,or should i say starting on it this week end,as soon as i get it done i will def. post pics.i would like to get some opions on this crazy *** set up.
