Default Buying winter tires for the stock '91 DX wheels

Hey, the tire size on my stock wheels is 175/70-13, right now I have some silly summer tires I bought just before biting the bullet and getting a real set of rims and performance tires. Unfortunately, I can't just put the stockers on for the winter since the tires aren't going to be much better than the Potenza S-03's I'm rolling on at the moment.

Tirerack has only one tire available at that size and they cost $61/tire. That's alot more than I'd like to spend, more in the $40-45 range was what I was hoping for. Thus, I have two questions:

Does anyone know of a cheaper winter tire

and

What other sized tires fit on the 13" stock wheels from the '91 DX? Can I go with a bigger tread on those wheels, can I find a cheaper tire in a different size? If I can I will.

Feel free to mention what set-up you're running for the winter

If you want a strictly winter tire go for a 155/80/R13. Its thinner so it will cut through the snow easier.
