what is "reason"?

the tein basics will cost you 675, the tein SS goes for around 800-900, the tanabe's are around 900...

ground controls and koni's are 700, GC's and KYB's are 645

Koni Yellow's w/ Ground Controls will give you the same ride and adjustability as the more expensive coilovers........justify what you're spending and make out a budget.

I beg to differ

You cannot campare koni over JICS

JICS > Koni.

actually, as much as i like the FLT-A2 design, a case can be made for a set of GC's with the right spring rates and revalved and shortened koni yellows. granted the revalving and shortening will push the cost of the GC KY setup into the high teens (1500-1600), apparently the monotube design of the FLT-A2 and other high end coilover setups isn't always optimal.

either way the GC+KY setup is nothing to shake a stick at, looking at how many of the RR/AX guys have them on their race cars is the proof in the pudding.

i really need to get a pair of GCs.

GCs run about $339 from Ground Control for the prelude.
