Radiator / can I use a AT one in my MT CRX?
Just like the subject. My Toyo radiator took a crap, and I'm wanting to replace it. Can I use one from an automatic civic / Crx as long as it's Toyo.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Mine is a Modine for an automatic even though the car is a standard..
Most places just stock the automatic model and then use it in either application.

I know for sure, i have one in my crx. It's an aftermarket model that had the plugs for the AT tranny lines, I just ran a hose from one to the other, works great. Most aftermarket rads have metal end tanks on them as opposed to the plastic one on the oem units. (which are known for crackning)
I have an auto one in my hatch, I didnt even plug my lines or anything. I heard from someone else on here that I dont need to, cause nothing will come out of them, and they were right. Just put it in, put in the two lines that went into your manual rad. and you're set. No plugging/other hoses needed

Exactly, the 2 holes are I think for ATF to run through and get cooled, no coolant, so no need to plug them.

Exactly, I also have an auto radiator. It's been in there for over 2 years, never plugged the auto holes either. It's really not necessary, but if you feel like it then go for it.

you can use the AT radiator. no biggie. don't bother plugging the holes as long as you never ever hook it up to an AT again. unless you want to do one hell of a flush job.
to boot, I think the AT radiator has slightly more capacity to deal with the extra heat from cooling the ATF.

I'm 100% sure the A/T and M/T rads are interchangeable.
The only only difference between the Toyo and the Denso is the way the A/C condensor fan mounts to it. So if you have A/C make sure you state which model rad. you have so the fans mount up the same way.
