I think what he means is, he is putting an aftermarket wheel on , causing the SRS light to come on.
And the only way to do that is by, disabling the whole system.

I'll never disable my airbags. They saved my life.

I don't want to disable the system, but fool into thinking that it's there.

I'm confused. Does the replacement wheel have a airbag as well? Or do you just want to keep the system active for the passenger bag? If the passenger bag is what you are after, you need to find out the resistance of the current steering wheel. Replace the wheel with a custom pigtail containing the correct value resistor and you should be done. If you dont want the ssytem active at all just get rid of the light in the cluster..

ceas..

get a small piece of electrical tape, preferably black. cover the light up and voila...you can't see it.

If it's like the RSX there is a 4-pin connector going into the airbag, 2 pins for each of two inflators. The service manual talks about testing them with 2-ohm connectors, so I'm gonna guess you put a 2-ohm resistor across pins 1-2 and another one across pins 3-4, and that would simulate the presence of the airbag. You would still need to clear the SRS trouble code to get the light to go off (discussed in another recent thread).

to get the SRS light out is...
to buy a hub with airbig bypass
when u by a momo steering wheel u need to buy a hub to connet it right!
u don't buy a momo hub ...they can't bypass ur SRS..
i use a HKB hub..it included a small fules to connet to ur SRS connetor
do it this way u will have ur SRS workin

Can you get me some more info on this HUB you are talking about "HKB"
I also have a 94-cx with a MOMO competition wheel in it but it would be nice to have the passengers side bag operable.

Just unplug the connecter from the back of the cluster.

Why do that when a Momo hub (which I'll be buying anyway) will fix it?

Can anyone, anyone...please send me a link to a place that's selling this hub?

Thanks,
Steve
