Default Convertable Civic HB

It is happening soon.

DJ0820's dad has a Civic STD with a bad tranny. He was going to junk it, but I have a spare trans.

Now the plan is a dunebuggy/convertable w/ a $100 budget. Here is what it may look like when done:

We're doing it monster garage style, but in 3 days. Next monday through wednesday, 72hrs straight. $100 budget.

The cage is going to be made out of 1/8th wall 2" mild steel pipe that I have in my shed. Only problem is that it is galvanized. I'll weld outside It will probably copy autopower's street bar design, but will incorperate a turret for my "potato" gun:

Adding the potato gun and short time frame and a budget is what makes this cool.
Anybody can take a sawzall and chop a roof.
Have fun, I hope you finish it.

that would be neat as hell but that will take alot of strenght out of the chassis and the car will handle like **** and u could twist the whole car if you turn hard enough some your going to have to do something with the suspension

Better yet get a quality respirator or use some type of breathing equipment. Welding galvo can kill.

Because I have one. No one wants it either. If you want to come to IA to buy it I'm sure we can work out a deal, but we will need some other car to ramp in trade.

definetly might want to get some stabalizers for the frame or mabe a roll cage, the frame isnt built for that kind of presure and stress when you take the top roof part off. but sounds like a fun idea post seom pics when your done!
