Run d16z6 off CRX Si ECU
Ok, I think I royally messed a valve or two up today, go figure. Anyway, in the next two months I was gunna get a d16z6 to swap into my 90 Si. I need my car up and running, but I don't have all the cash I need to do a swap... Now I can get the motor, but getting the p28 ecu and harness adapter (non-obd to obd-1) so I can run vtec is what will set me back where I don't have the money.
Can I put the z6 in my car and run it off my crx si ecu safely until I can save up the extra $300 or so to get the ecu and harness to complete the swap?
Kinda stuck, very limited cuz of Christmas and all.
Thanks in advance for your help!

u can get a p28 for like 100 in the parts for sale, and the obd0-ob1 in the sponsors marketplace for like 125 so thats only like 225, i know its still 225 but thats cheaper then the 300 u were talking about.
yeah, I used a very quick very rought estimate to say 300, heh, 225 (give or take). But it's christmas so if I wanna get some presents for my family (I don't plan for christmas much) then I'll need that 225.
If any1 wants to get me a great deal on these items let me know!

im looking for the same things and there arent any that i know of so ur gonna have to bite the bullet and buy it. or just buy a replacement d16a6. or even a d15b for that matter.
Yes you can use the CRX si ecu with the z6 but you wont have vtec. Then when you have the money you can get a vtec controller or get a p28 with a obd1 harness converter. But you must use the CRX si dizzy.
ya use a PM6... if you have any electrical knohow your can always goto http://www.pgmfi.org and look around for the 1 wire vtec mod for the PM6 ecu
