The Civic should have a hatch cover...a friend of mine who has a hatch has one. I like the CRX, because it's small and has only two seats.

Hear that 2 seaters all the way. It kind of feels like your driving a real sports car.

If your CRX has a good body keep it. CRX's are getting more rare to find. Space does suck, but if the hatch has a body kit, screw that. Trade someone else if you want more space, pleanty of people want CRX's.

well 4th gens do come with hatch covers in the back. most of them usually break so people throw them out. if you really needed the seating of a hatch, just trade and get new stock bumpers. they dont cost to much.

Well thats what I was thinking... possibly get this hatch and trade the body kit for stock pieces. Not really sure if I should do it or not. I love my CRX but i need the room and it gets pretty annoying sometimes. Just dont know if it was worth it. If anyone has pros and cons they'd like to post up, dont hesistate. I'm just trying to see which one is the better car overall.

the trunk of the CRX will carry and air tank and your 4 track/auto-x tires plus a few hand tools. what mroe do you need? and 2 seats means not having to be the "group driver" for your deadbeat friends

not being the group driver is nice, and its 100lbs less, but if you want to be able to drive people around a hatch isnt a bad idea....

You want pros and cons??
Well the pro to the CRX is that it only has 2 seats a con to the CRX is that it only has 2 seats.
A pro to the Hatch is that is has a back seat a con to the hatch that it has a back seat.

I could go on like that forever they are basically the same car with a few exceptions sure the hatch is a bit heavier but I mean if you dont like the seating and space of a CRX well then a hatch is the way to go for you. They are both great cars it just all comes down to what you liek better and which one will work for you better also..

It would however help though to post up pics of the cars in question. I mean trading a CRX for a hatch even up seems kind of like a one sided trade I would think you would be better to sell the CRX on its own and then pick up a hatch that you like for the money. Like someone said earlier CRX's are becoming harder and harder to come buy so I think you would be better off selling it and getting a hatch you like instead of dealing with like a body kit you dont like and such.

I understand that CRXs are harder to find. Especially ones in flawless condition but the price I'm asking for mine... nobody wants to deal with it. $4,000 OBO. They offer me like $2,000 and I dont think it would be worth it to sell so cheap after dropping alot of cash on it. I would rather trade for a hatch with the same amount of mods and mileage. What are your opinions on that? One side of me wants to sell the car and the other side of me is telling me to keep it and build it up.

I'd say go ahead and trade if you think it's fair. I've had mine since '96 and I love it. I carried all kinds of stuff in it. I guess you can say that's a pro since I've seen bigger cars that cant hold too much in the trunk. You've probably seen mine around...............white Si with the blue rag top.

I have BOTH cars! The CRX is a "sportier" car. The wheelbase is an inch or two shorter. The absence of the weight in the rear that the hatch carries makes for some quick turn in and response. That 100-150 lbs. that the hatch has also means that it is S l o w e r.... especially considering the lack of torque that honda's produce. I use my 90Si hatch as a daily driver and the CRX is my kick *** car. Not that a hatch couldn't be a bad *** car too, just that performance wise the CRX has an advantage. Plus I think the CRX looks better too!

Just my opinion.
