Default Some days I miss my CRX a 1.5 years later

What more fun is it then opening your car up on the free way with a b18b w/ an 89 LS ECU going past red line through a contruction zone. The sound of my thermal exhause bellowing the deep noise that only sounds nice at 7500rpms. I've down graded for a while now, sold the CRX for a 90 4dr Integra sometime ago, for me it felt like a good idea at the time. I was soon to graduate from college needed a 4dr and something i could present my "self" in....well guess what i'm still the same person i was in my CRX, i make my self, not my car....dammit. Either way the integra was fully loaded and perfect condidtion and for 1500 you probably would have done the same.
The thing i miss about my crx till recently was that i didn't have a canvas to paint on. My car was flashy, not rice (even though some considered it to be) more dark style. When i first saved it from the junkyard i drove it from Tuson to Phx with a broken water pump to do a zc swap, right when i got to the swap destination the DX motor froze. All i have to say is that the drive up took 7hrs the way back took 2hrs. I moved up to Reno, went through a few motors, paint jobs, friends ect. The body changed multiple times from a full invader kit then wings west kit, then finally ending on a 98Civic Si front end...yea a newer Si front end. It had been featured on the CRX resource, met a bunch of friends i still talk to today by owning it.
Never really got to finsh the car to the point that i wanted to, but now i have a whole new canvas (See attached link to why i ask stupid questions) a Honda CVCC
. I got it a few months ago, but now its mid way to becoming streetable and possibly a daily driver. Best part is that the car actually handels like the CRX and some. The only chance i even got to take it about 50+ was on the way home on a 10% down grade hill that is 1.5 miles long with a long curve.

So no matter if you have to sell it, want to sell it, your going to miss it....REX's ROCK

Yeah, it'll be be 16 years this april since I drove my CRX off the lot. It's still out in the garage. I was going to sell it after I get the STi, but I'm starting to think that might not be such a good idea.

Hey, I haven't seen you in awhile

I know what it's like, I sold my 86 and decided toget a 91 hatch, thought I'd keep it forever. The CRX called me again in august, so I'm back. I resisted for 2 years.

i've been reading the post, not really posting, gathering my knowledge up some. Steve gave me the boot off the Resource for calling him "Stevie" talk about a man with a Texas steer up his ***.
I have to be weird, the CVCC i think is it for me, its a wagon, but handles like the ol' rex. I hope to have it going by spring. Having it ready for CMI in January is asking to much.

What's CMI?

Not to tempt you, but I'm selling my 91 Si now. I'm trading my HB for a 90 Dx w/ B16, and I can only have one car. Oh boy do I go through cars fast.

CMI is Californias M****** I****** something or other i'm sure the second word is motor not to sure on the "I". Its when people actually gather for the one and pretty much only event for 1/2 racing in NorCal other then the wed night test n tunes which suck (at least when i've gone).
I'm building the car for road cource racing, we have a 3.2 mile track that is like Button Willow being made up here. Going to try it on the SCCA cource first, but ohh i can't wait...its getting a d16a6 right now, then a black top zc and possibly w/in a yr a b16..

California Modified Imports. I'm not sure about now, but they had (have?) about 3 or 4 events a year @ sac. I haven't been to one in a while, but I've heard they're moving more towards half race half show to bring in more profit
