Default One more way to protect your/ our R

Yup this is a strange way but none the less.

Caller ID- Don't pick up the phone unless you know who it is- could be someone found your # listed and wanting to see if your the owner and home...

Am I paranoid?

But anyway I found a program that has Caller ID,,,

"AUDIO CALLER ID FOR WINDOWS"

And I got it from download.com

even has a voice to alert you when a call comes in.

Yeah I have gone over the edge

Lets say, some one got your address, name and all your info- they call your house to see if your home- You see the number is not familar so you don't pick up- they try again and again then later a suspisious car stops in front of your house... people get out of the car and walk up to the car or the garage.

Now you have the drop on them, and some info to work with.

I hate to say this, but if you had AOL, you would already have caller ID on your computer, and you'd be able to answer calls and retrieve/playback messages.

Well I'd rather not deal with aol and their headaches, I have Earthlink for many years with not one problem...

Anyway for those who have Caller ID I thought this might help in many ways...

it's happened to me, twice. a week after my Si was stolen, my dad's alarm on his explorer went off, he goes outside to see what's going on, there's four kids in a sentra speeding off. two nights later, my sister walks outside, starts putting her baby in her car and some kid walks out of the garage and runs down the street. 2 minutes later the same sentra speeds by.

EDIT: forgot to mention that they were getting weird phone calls that whole week from a restricted number asking for me then hanging up.
