Default guage & odometer question

Ok... so i like a hundred other people was stupid enough to get indiglo guages.... and to make it worse... i did a half *** job of installing it and rushed it with the help of my friend the krazy glue bottle.

Now... 3 years after.... i want to get rid of these things and go back to stock.... and i got a cluster from another member i can use... but i want to kno if its possible to transfer just my odometer over to the new guages so i keep the same odometer reading. is this possible? and how would i do it?

Thanks for the help.

It IS possible to just transfer over the odometer gauge to the new gauge that you have, it's just a matter of taking the cluster apart, very easy. But you still have the indiglo crap on the old odometer unless you can clean it up good, i suggest goo gone, from home depot!!

theres a pin on the side of the odometer. i hear of people putting a pencil in a drill with the eraser pointing out and spinning it to the correct mileage.

Just take the backing off the gauges and its like 5 bolts to get the whole speedo/odometer gauge unit out together. Take the speedo unit w/ correct mileage and place it in your new gauge cluster, the same way you took it out of the old cluster.

Its very easy, i just switch my buddies CX odometer to his new SI cluster. Took about 10 mins.

see... i don't think some of you are comprehending what i'm saying. ok...

1) I understand that i can swap out the entire speedometer section with the odometer intact in it into another cluster....
2) I know i can swap clusters all together...

ok here's the catch....

Can i....

1) Take out the odometer FROM the speedometer???
2) Then install it into another speedometer???

OR

1) Is there a way for me to adjust the mileage on a cluster to read more miles so it will equal my current miles and so that the odometer will still function properly???
