breaking built motor in with new turbo
should i be worried about messing my turbo up.....u think any metal shavings or anything will mess the seals up in the turbo...let me know what u think weather u have down it or not
If your motor was properly built and assembeled you should have no metal shavings going anywhere and yes metal shaving's will mess up your turbo if they are big enough.
He isnt talking about metal shaving from the actual sleeving process or bare grinded metal.
When new parts are installed, they "break-in" leaving metal shavings. Nothing can be done to prevent that. Thats why you are supposed to change the oil in a brand new motor after 200 miles.
