to dyno's. But they are most useful when comparing before and after modification and in b/w each modification to see where the gains really came from.

im still curios to see how the s2k engine does when it has good flowing parts on it.
im guessing its gona be 240+whp after its been tuned.

The factory intake manifold is very well designed, the advantages of ITBs don't necessarily lie in power output but throttle modulation.

same thing goes with the header, alot of the aftermarket headers suck *** compared to stock.
but john @ hytech manages to squeze alot more power compared to alot of the other headers
or the 00-03 s2k's with the itb/hytech header package might only make 220whp and be as fast as the 04's

That's true to a certain extent. But I fear that the results of John's header will not be the same on the s2000 compared to those of the ITR b/c there's limited availability in adjustable cam gears, critical in making adjustments to tuning an N/A application. However, there is availability to very good engine management systems that can compensate for the lack of adjustable cam gears. I guess we'll see. John does know what he's doing. But again it'll be hard to see just the gains of his headers b/c a before dyno wasn't done just to isolate the gains from the header alone, so when a final dyno is done, who's to say only the ecu resulted in the gains or just the intake or exhuast manifold? See what I mean?
In terms of getting an '00-03 s2k as "fast" as an '04 in what regards I'm unsure since you didn't specifiy in a straight line or on a road course. It's been stated already the '04's are easier to drive, they have more torque, a contributing factor for making it easier to exit turns quicker. However, if you want to do a straight up '03 to '04 comparison, if you upgrade the final drive of a '03 and under, the acceleration of it will be very similar to the acceleration of a stock '04. Interesting eh?

how much tq does the 04' have? and waht is it suppose to hit the 1/4? by the way i was told that some s2k's are slower than others, my friends 02' is a lot slower than my two friends 03's any reason why or know why? and hte final drive upgrade would make the gears shorter correct?

I am new to the S2k as I just got mine last week... but I can tell you that with any production car some will be slightly quicker than others. I have found this to be true in almost all Hondas. Hell even the yellow and black on the '00/'01 ITR's can vary quite a bit from one to another.
We used a day of the week to represent how fast our integras and civics etc. were when I was in high school. Example: If you had a car that was stock and pulled well thorugh the gears we would say it was a "Wednesday motor" because the Techs at Honda in Japan worked harder on Wednesday as opposed to Friday when they are rushed to get home for the weekend
Or on Monday when they are hung over from the weekend
^definitely BS but funny nonetheless!
Many of my fellow ITR buddys said that I might not be happy with the S2K and that some ITR's are faster... Possible maybe... but my '02 is very very fast. And I can't imagine it feeling better/ quicker.
<--- Curious about the final drive upgrade and cost.
