Default s2000 swap

ok before gettinn flamed, id like to know if someone heard of a swap we could do to a s2000 theft recovery...
it doesnt have an engine and transmission...
is it possible to swap FOR EXAMPLE a 2jz, rb26dett, etc...

probably very very hard......the way the motor and trans sit in this car is unlike any other...very high up, and positioning is definitely unique. If you can find something to fit, i would be very surprised!! Good luck, and keep us posted!

one thing i noticed on your website...the S2000 specs....

00 through 03 are correct, 04 got the F22C, compression im not sure on, but HP is still 240, and torque is 161 up from 158. Just thought i would let you know!!!

quoting for emphasis. anything is possible, but if you are lokoing to do any kind of swap, especially one that either hasn't been done before, or has been done only a few times, it will cost you mucho dollars. so if you budget X amount of dollars for the swap, make sure you double that figure.

i would do a rotaty motor or nissan sr20det (the 2.0 turbo motor). The rotaty would probalby fit better due to it being smaller

you are prolly better off runing a s2k tranny, with a custom plate that mates the engine of your choice to the tranny.

a sr20 would prolly be a good choice

i would say its gona be at least 5k in labor to get it to work. then another 3-5k for engine and misc parts you are gona have to buy.

if you want to run boost, i would get a k series motor and build that.

cool so many ideas, the best to me is tha rotary cuz its compact yet powerful. but it's my friend's car so the decision is up to him
ill keep you posted you'll be the first to hear about it even if we decide to put a f20c...

talk to turbo panda. They have done some crazy swaps with s2000's and bmw's and nissans.
