Just finished my valve cover
Well, first I painted the whole thing letters and all, then sanded down the tops of the letters. After that, I put vaseline on the lettering and resprayed it to take care of any scraping on the paint caused by sanding it down. I did this to get the lettering as "sharp" as possible, if that makes any sense. If you just you vasoline first, the letter have messy edges from being careless with the vaseline. Then I baked it at 200 for an hour or so....makes the paint rock hard. I hope I never wanna change this paint, its going to be a bitch to take off.
