How would 15"x6" wheels do on a prelude?
I'm looking to buy a set for my type SH and I found them in the that size. They are off a mazda millenia and weigh only 12 lbs. My concern is the width, they will be used for auto-x and HPDEs. I'm afraid they wouldn't provide too much of a contact patch. I was originally looking for a 7" inch wheel. Thanks in advance.

it'd be preferable to go with a 7"-8" wheel in that size. you could try to put 225's on (it'd be a real stretch) though 205's would prob be more realistic. with a 6" rim your turn in would prob feel sloppy, and 205mm of rubber isn't enough for a lude to be competitive at the highest levels.
the only payoff is, if they're as cheap as they should be it might be worth it. i'm running 15x7's w/ 205/50/15 azenis, although for the next set i'll upsize to 225's. btw new lightweight 15" wheels should cost around $500.

yeah, that 12 lb weight is nice but too thin. I'm also looking into some nissan 300zx wheels: 16x7.5 @ 16 lbs
if I could only find them locally. I don't want to buy new wheels, not even rotas bc these will be beater wheels - function (and cost) over fashion. If anyone else has any ideas let me know.

I guess.
As for sizes they are 15x6.5 so it as wide as stock. So what do you guys think of the 16x7.5 300zx wheels?

They are for a rear wheel drive car the offset is going to OWN you. Case in point: if you were trying to run S2000 rims on a 5th gen you'd need four front wheels the back ones are offset really funny.
