Opinions wanted: Engine Bay
Here is a pic of my engine bay. Tell me what you would all do to make her look nice! It will be cleaned I just mean stuff like the valve cover: paint, polish, powdercoat, etc.
Updated pics! Figured no need for a new thread! Tial and K&N. I know I still havent touched the valve cover.
Any thoughts on where to mount my radiator overflow?

About 472 WHP.............and then I woke up and wiped the drool from my chin. I dont know how much power but its enough for traction problems all through 2nd.

Reroute some wires, new valve cover, some spiffy spark plug wires, remove the cruise control, and replace the ground wire with a stereo ground wire (last one makes a world of difference).
take off your valve cover and use a paint thinner to remove the outer coating and leave it as is. rugged silver look to match your intake manifold.
the grey would be nice if your engine bay was black. I think if you mixed the grey into the engine bay, it would clash with your red bay, goldish turbo manifold, chrome intercooler piping, and rugged ice cold grey intake manifold. but thats just me.

i'd say new plug wires, Gunk cleaner alllllll up in the engine bay. Powder coat the VC black or red (love the gloss
) powdercoat intake piping black.
) powdercoat intake piping black.
red wouldnt be too bad, but it might clash with your dirty red.
just go with straight stripped. for a turbo ls, your valve cover will most likely heat up warping the paint unless you use a high heat paint. just a thought.
And yes. im one of those guys that color coordinates their closets.

Newer non vtec style valve cover
good scrubing on everything
fuel rail
(stick with one color)
paint or powercoat the valve color the color of your car
no mor P/S
black intercooler piping
differant color coupler (that blue sticks out like a sore thumb)
then you would be bling blang yo.
i think all that would do a HUGE differance for everything
and IMO get rid of the ABS that cluters up an engine bay

VTEC head would be nice. No money for a swap though after the turbo. My 103lb fiance drives the car from time to time and she wouldnt do well w/o PS. The car gets driven all year around so I like my ABS in the winter! Black powder coated charge pipe eh? Hmmmmm never thought about it. But if I polish the valve cover it would match nice. Great comments everybody! Keep them coming!
