just like you don't go jogging at the "rink"


Track = road course
Drag Strip (or Strip) = drag racing

/pet peeve.

 

I think most people realize that. But i myself am not that **** to let it get to me. I will always consider the "strip" as goin to the track.

Hmmm? I dont say either?? If I am talking about the "strip" I would say Great Lakes (Dragaway) (Thats the name of the strip by me) or if I would have been talking about cruising it would be go and cruise Hwy or HWY 100 again thats where people do it by me. Or if its a track event it would be go to Miller park since again thats where they are held or where ever else they may be held for that matter.

That is what my dumb *** thought at first yunno like the Las Vegas Strip crussing around picking up ladies then some fool whats to race you.

 

But you see driven, what if you live down here in South Florida, and have Moroso as your home track, then it doesn't matter what you say because either way, you'll be right.

What happens if your local "track" has a back straight that just so happens to be roughly 1320 feet long with a Christmas tree at one end and timing lights at the other?

 

to the imports we call the track a track and a strip a strip. however when I talk to my domestic driving friends, a track is a strip. They don't race on tracks because they drive domestics! HA!

 

in jersey we say were going to the track...but your drag strip is our track...like tomorrow, im going to the track...
