Default Where to run amp wires?

I was wondering if it would be o.k to run my amp wires under the center console, where the shifter is. I know exhaust piping is right below and was wondering if it get very hot right here on the inside?

I run my power wire straight through the firewall on the pass side and then run it along the door to the back.

I run RCA's directly down the center, same with rem wire.

you'll be fine. That's one of the jobs of the heat sheild underneith of the center console, to reflect the radiated heat so the floorboards don't heat up on you

Running the wires down the center console is ok, but you will still have to buy heat shields for the wires, the stock heat shield does not always work as well as it should. Your fuel mixture could run rich, your cat could get clogged, a number of situations can happen to cause the exhaust to heat up higher than it should, and you won't notice it til after your wires are barbecued. Also running down the center would cause you to either A) pull the carpet to get it to the back seat unexposed or B) leave them exposed for everyone to see. I suggest you run the power wires down the passenger side under the small panel on the door and the other wires down the other side of the car. They should both be able to be pulled through your back seat to the trunk. Sorry for the long post, just didn't want any confusion.
