high pitched squealing noise... WTF??!
happened today when driving home in the rain.
i;ve heard it once before after washing my engine bay.... is it noise from the distributor or something?

it should be your belt that is making those noise..usually when the belt get wet that the noise it will make and eventually it'll go away after it dry up...

yeah my alternator belt is making that same squeaking noise. how do you tighten it? just tighten up the bolt on that tensioner thingy that it goes around?

actually, you'll wanna first loosen the bolt, then take a long/stout flathead screwdriver or prybar and pry back on that alternator to increase belt tension on the alt. belt. Then tighten the bolt back.
