Default Precision Turbos!!

Ok I have been researching for a turbo to get and im not sure. I have found the precision turbos and I think thats what I am going to get but I want to hear from people who have had them. This is my main reason for posting, to find out about precision turbos since there has not been much said about them. I also want to know what turbos others have used, what their setup is like, and how it all came out (hp, torque, 1/4, 60ft, stuff like that if you have it). Also tell me what vehicle your setup is on and what engine. Specify things you think would be important.

I am also working with a local shop to get the right setup I am looking for, I am roughly looking to put out about 400whp and more in the future. The motor is currently being built and I am almost ready to order the turbo.

I have already searched for precision turbos and read everything that was posted. Some were waiting on turbos for their setup, however nothing was posted on how they turned out. So I would like to hear about them.

Also if you have any other turbo setups you want to mention feel free to, as I am in search for the correct setup, I want to know the outcomes of others setups.

My car is a 1998 Integra GSR, B18C1 bored 30%, sleeved by Golden Eagle, JE Pistons compression 9:1 or 9.5:1 not sure, either eagle or crower rods, ported and polished GSR head with 3 angle valve job, titanium valves, springs, retainers, either stock GSR cams or Skunk2 turbo cams, either Skunk2 intake manifold or JG Edlebrock intake manifold, fuel filter rail and pressure regulator, probably going to run hondata S200b OBD1, and stage 3 clutchmasters clutch, i can't really think of anything else I know theres more but this will do considering some of this might change anyways.

I hope people can take this seriously, and provide good information and maybe this will help others in deciding what turbo or setup they are going to get.

Thank you everyone for posting and feel free to post pics and descriptions of anything you feel will benefit anyone from this thread. Thanks!!

Like I said some of this might change so, not sure exactly what clutch, but the car is also going to be street driven too, soo thats why were taking our time in deciding exactly how were putting this together, goal to get it to run mid to low 11's, and still be streetable.

But thanks for the suggestion anyways, everything counts!

personally from the research and w/ talkin to some really turbo smart people. I'm gonna go with the garret t3/60-1 which is good for 530whp. because 500whp is what I'm shooting for and also the precision is known to have some shaft play but I'm no expert. I will be upgrading to t3/67 later on once I have the fill for the whole fwd rocketship thing. good luck w/ your build up and I hope you make the right decisions

sounds good, if money is tight you can make that power without the headwork/cams, etc...

I just said that about the clutch because im running the same one on my car and its not rated for much more power than i have

Yeah I agree with you on the head work that will come after the turbo setup is all together and the trans is figured out and the hondata, but thanks for the advice Mpir3 and thanks for adding allstokhonda, I hope everything works out well for you too!

it's about 1000. it might be a little cheaper. now cause wiredspeed.com has the honda-tech specials going on. they have really good prices on there parts. and the cheapest hondata you can buy. I only pay 535 for my hondata: s200 w/boost and 3-step rev. you can't beat there prices.

Now that is a very good deal, for the hondata, and my friends and I are going in on the software and hardware to tune the hondata, so we will have the equipment to tune it and a couple of my friends are learning how to tune it, so when we get experienced enough we can possibly tune it ourselves, because there are not that many places that can tune hondata. But I don't really see myself tuning that anytime soon.
