turbo for b-series junkyard kit

Default turbo for b-series junkyard kit

just can't find any definite info on which turbo to use. i going to put it on a stock b17. i am only looking to boost up to 10 psi max.

damn dosen't anyone have a b-series junkyard turbo? i went to the junkyard and the have a lot of turbos i just need to know which one to get.

yea that doesn't really help me. i already know that the t3/t4 turbo is good for the b-series. i just don't have that much cash and i was wondering which turbo i could pull of a car from the junkyard would be the best for a b-series engine.

none, the "best" turbo would be properly sized for the engines flow.
But if your going to go with a used turbo from a junk yard, get a larger t3 from either a saab or mustang..(i believe)....don't get the smaller t3 (.42 cold .48 hot)....be carefull using a used turbo, it may be more work then its worth if you cant find a good one

I am pretty sure you can use a turbo from just about anything. I know there are some people on here using turbos from Saabs and Porsches. I think DSM eclipse/talons will work also. Do a search for "budget turbo" in the archieves.

T3 from a thunderbird, svo mustang, or XR4Ti.
As long as its a .60 compressor you should be fine.

I made 237whp on 8psi with a .60/.48 T3.
B16 that is.

Go for the one from an SVo mustang late 80's manual model. T3 60 trim is perfect for your app.

Then again, every Mustang SVo guy out there searches for the same thing.

so the larger trim t3 60 trim did they come on any other cars than the mustang? i htink it really is going to be hard to find this one. i didn't see any 80's mustangf at the junkyard.

ok thanks so pretty much any ford 5 speed turbo. thanks help me out a lot. oh yea what about the ic? should i try and get one from the same car or does it matter?
