I find it odd that some people have fitment problems and others install it w/ their eyes closed, seems like there's gotta be an explanation outside of human error

The actual quality of the Icebox is crap. I have it on my car now and I was pretty disappointed with how poor the quality is. It fits fine, but you think they could at least make the top screw on like stock, instead of just popping it on. I think the only major change was that the more recent ones have a little comptech badge on them.

Yeah, the cover is a real dissapointment. I wish their was a way to incorporate the stock cover onto the icebox. Oh well, guess we can't have our cake and eat it too

I think people just don't realize that the ac line can be pushed over an inch or two. Comptech should say this in the instructions, but they want to make it seem like it fits perfectly.

Good point, but then you have those who never had to touch the A/C lines at all, just luck of the draw I guess.

The pop on top is kinda cheap/annoying, but overall id definitely use the icebox over any other intakes on the market (besides mugen).

For those of you using the E2427 filter, are you using the Comptech arm as well? Any pics?
