Default Comptech Is No More

I just found out that Comptech is closing. They are liquidating their remaining stock.
Sorry, no S/C in the sale.

Sad happenings here.

It's for real. One guy was taking orders for raffle tickets for a Comptech S/C and had to refund. He could not even get anyone there to answer the phone.

i don't get all the carb legal stuff.....pay someone off to do your inspection if you are building a street car NY styleeee

and a properly done turbo setup will be the same price, make a lotttt more torque and hp, a/c is not a problem on the S with a turbo, get an aem 1052 and have everything function like stock with a ton more options than the stock ecu......etc.....

i dunno, i just don't see the point in an s/c....if you are adding a power adder, won't you want it to add the most USABLE power? i didn't say most because i don't agree with throwing a 42r on a 4 cylinder unless it's a drag car....but a gt28rs or a gt30r with a nice free flowing exhaust will give you an awesome powerband and some nice top end!

Damn that was my last hope! Every performance shop anywhere near Sacramento is closed now! Street Toyz, D2, motorsport dynamics, Independence, now comptech. Where can I go?

oh man, i dont even know where to start.

paying someone off the state ref, cop, smog check gets old after a while, that's the reason i sold my old turbo honda to get a relatively stock s2000 in the first place.

most of the people don't really have the skill or bother enough to have it custom(and most importantly dyno' tuned), so a SC kit seems like a good deal(even tho' it's like 6grand ).

one thing for sure, centrifical snail on a samll displacement peaky motor could be teh suck.
talking about usesable power band

comptech made some awsome products they really thought about the consumer for there products they were all easy to install( i mean not just a noob some one who knows something). i think that might have killed them is the extra work they did to figure it all out i would have never thoght they would be the next one to close
