dvd sound question.

Default dvd sound question.

im hooking up just a regular din size dvd player in my car to my screen. my question is how can i make the sound come through the system? i have a sony cdxm610 and there is an audio in. i hooked it up to that and i get nothing...anyone know how? also when i hit source it doesnt show anything besides cd and tuner(supposed to have tv, md, and cd changer sources too)

take to the audio forum..

but ill answer your question here before it gets moved or deleted only cause i work w/ car audio all day long..

you need to buy a Sony XA-300 its a aux audio/video controllers for sony radios that have an audio in.. its an audio in intended for a sony direct connect cd changer.. its not AUX in.. you can by the part only for 80-100 bux.. sorry its the only way it will work for you and trust me on this i know this is the correct way!

I'm not sure if the current Sonys still have it or not, but there's an Aux wire that needs to be powered for the stereo to switch to Aux. The older Sony models had that.

Forget that. Sound quality is limited to the frequency range of an FM signal.
