fuel strainer
Where is the fuel pickup on my '90. I thought it was under the panel between the trunk and back seat, but it wasn't
I need to change my fuel strainer because at high RPM my engine randomly cuts out, and when I am stopping, my RPMs drop to like 250, and sometimes dies. I hope that I don't have to drop the tank, cause that would be a bitch. I realize that there is probably more to this than needing to change my strainer, so please give me some other ideas.
Thanx,
Eddie

Some model-years you have to drop the tank to get the pump, but I don't know which years. Get a fuel pressure gauge. If your strainer is plugging up you should see erratic fuel pressures, especially driving & WOT. If your pressure is solid then you don't have to bother dropping the tank...
