LCA Aftermarket / Function 7
I posted this in the RR/AutoX form but some of you may not go in there and I thought you guys would be a good source to ask.
I am trying to get more info on these,
Do they shorten the track of your car?
Are they that much lighter then cast Iron ones, OEM?
Any other helpfully information or thing that I am forgetting or would not be aware of?
Are they worth the 179.99 for a pair?

there's a bling factor involved with these. they don't really change your geometry, they are just good looking and lighterweight than stock.
in terms of longevity, I haven't read anything on that yet.

I had planned on a can of flat black and some sand paper.
Thank you for the input, I was really looking at these for the unsprung weight difference and the camber adjustment.

of course this is on a civic but...
lighter = yes. mine weighed in a 1.2 lbs each on a work fed ex scale
camber adjust = they are available (or were) with an optional offset bushing assembly for adjustment. i did not opt for this.
i believe i got the first set made for sale, they were unfinished, rough, and came with no bushings (the way i wanted them). I also opted to machine the lower shock mount location for the 'larger' factory sized bushing. (f7 likes to use all three the same size) However, using the durometer at work, i noted that the ES bushings for the lower shock mounts are actually of a higher durometer than the 'smaller' bushings...therefore i chose to do the machine work.
customer service = it was like pulling teeth. however, i got mine almost a year ago now...so im not sure if thats relavent.
bling = yea. so far i have left mine 'natural' without paint...it makes me smile when i see the bling on a 800 dollar army green hatch.
durability = ive had zero issues, running on 'heavy' suspension, etc.
nick, who just used up his one usefull post of the day. Now back to hell raising

The product description specifically stated that it would NOT affect the track width of the car. As long as the length is the same as the stock piece, I don't think it would affect the wheel position.

Why would you want to adjust camber thru the LCA bushings? LCA is where the shock mounts to so it is a load supporting member. Making its bushings "adjustable" doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
There are a lot of adjustable UCA (dog bone) available that provide very easy camber adjustment.
